The field report
Craft Beer Market delivered one of the strongest burgers from our journey and became a serious rival for the top spot. The American Cheese Burger was classic, fairly priced and extremely well executed.
The bun may have been the freshest we have ever had. If you believe in a god, this came from the heavens. Combined with the quality of the meat, excellent flavour and generous sauce, the burger did not miss in any meaningful area. Every part worked together without making a straightforward burger feel unnecessarily complicated. Sometimes meat and cheese is all you need (and pickles if you are Alex.)
The restaurant cut fries were cooked to perfection and nearly stole the entire review. They were seasoned perfectly and paired with ketchup that tied the plate together. These were easily among the strongest fries we have reviewed.
Service can sometimes be inconsistent here, but on this visit it was exceptional. The atmosphere was also strong, helped by the restaurant’s location in the heart of Ottawa’s entertainment district. With reasonable prices and excellent execution across the meal, Craft Beer Market earned one of our strongest recommendations.
