The field report
Corner Bar and Grill delivered a mixed burger experience. The burger meat was slightly dry but the bun was a definite highlight. Take that thing off the grill a couple minutes earlier and it maybe could get to memorable level. We'd also consider that if they also took that stupid spring lettuce off the burger.
We have eaten here before and had a better burger, which makes consistency the biggest concern. At $21, the price felt fairly average, but we expected the burger to be closer to what we remembered from our previous visit.
The fries were easily the standout. They reminded us of Costco food-court fries in the best way: well seasoned, satisfying and served with good old-fashioned regular ketchup. We visited on a Thursday when the restaurant was fairly quiet, so the atmosphere felt a little flat, but the service was excellent, quick and attentive.
There were enough positives to make another visit worthwhile, especially the fries and service, but the burger itself needs to be more consistent.
