The field report
Clocktower genuinely surprised us and delivered one of the better burgers we had tried at the time. The burger was very good, felt fairly priced at $22 and gave us little to complain about.
The fries were classic pub fries, which are difficult to go wrong with. The in-house beer arrived cold, and while the selection was on the smaller side, it still covered a good range of choices.
Service was where the visit became especially memorable. When we mentioned that whiskey sours were part of our review, our server immediately told us we were lucky because they had the perfect bartender and making them was her specialty. That confidence made the interaction feel personal, and the bartender completely lived up to the introduction. The aroma and garnish stood out immediately, with the garnish contributing to both the scent and flavour. Everything felt properly balanced, making it one of the most memorable parts of our entire burger journey.
The atmosphere was fine without being a major highlight, but the food, fair prices and excellent service more than made up for it.
With sadness, we have to report this location is closed. Which means we have no idea where this bartender is now. I will be craving this whiskey sour for the rest of my life and I will never be able to find it again. Hopefully we cross paths at some point.
