The field report
Broadways served a good, straightforward burger that was about as classic as it gets for a frozen burger. That is our suspicion of course. It still delivered what we expected from a standard burger, although nothing pushed it into standout territory.
The fries were easily the highlight. Once again, another place with the same style as Costco food-court fries. This seems to be surprisingly common around Orléans, which we can't complain about. The beer selection was limited and the beer itself was not particularly impressive, but neither took much away from the meal.
We visited on a Thursday and could count on 1 hand how many people there were in there. By the way, that included the 2 of us. The 3 others were clearly regulars at the bar. This left the atmosphere without any real energy. Service was still very good, with the same person handling both the serving and bartending duties.
Although the whiskey sour was disappointing, we could not help but appreciate the young lady serving us giving it a chance. But unfortunately the recipe she found online (which she showed us for approval) didn't hit the mark.
Overall, Broadways delivered a reasonable classic burger and excellent fries. At $22, the burger felt slightly expensive for what it was, but the food and good service made the visit worthwhile.
