The field report

This is where it all started for us, before we had a streamlined classic burger to use as our usual baseline. The burger was good overall, especially for $18, and while it did not blow us away, we would happily order it again.

The fries were great, but the artisanal ketchup took away from them. Sometimes regular ketchup is exactly what good fries need.

The atmosphere was easily one of the strongest parts of the visit. There was live music, and the singer was amazing. Unfortunately, the service completely changed the experience. We waited 30 minutes for our bill and another 17 minutes for the payment machine. To top it off, the waitress accidentally dropped a pitcher of water on one of us. No there wasn't a romance movie ending to this. We really did just leave wet and happily committed to our partners.

The food, price, and atmosphere were all good enough to bring us back, but we would hope for a much smoother experience next time.

“A good burger, great fries, and one of the best atmospheres we’ve had so far. Unfortunately, waiting nearly 50 minutes just to pay was quite ridiculous. At least we have a funny store to tell with the water pitcher.”
